This fall is the time for Hello Kitty Fans to rejoice, as Hello Kitty Con will be taking place  at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) in Downtown LA’s Little Tokyo.  Hello Kitty was introduced in Japan in 1974 and brought to the United States in 1976. Worldwide it reamins a phenomenol success with fans of all ages, races, genders, and locations. Originally invented by the company Sanrio, designed by Yuko Shimizo it had humble begginings. By 2014 Hello Kitty was pulling in 7 Billion Dollars a year all without adervtising in a traditional sense. The popular “Made in America” Music Festival sponsored by Budweiser and catered by Jay Z is coming to downtown LA. The event, scheduled for Labor Day Weekend does not come without controversy however, as some politicians see it as a potential burden for downtown residents. The event is expected to draw over 50,000 people, with three stages and numerous beer gardens. Currently the event is pending location (currently set for grand park), however something this big with acts such as Kanye West, Imagine Dragons, John Mayer,Steve Aoki,  Kendrick Lamar, Iggy Azalea, Rise Against, and Weezer,  the event will still be a big boom for downtown....

On Sunset right next to the iconic Elliot Smith Mural  across from Silverlake Web Design Firm Websites Depot,  Co Creator of the infamous game Cards Against Humanity Ben Hantoot and wife are remodeling the once deschevled property into a brand new spot where local Angelinos can grab some fresh coffee. Opening dates are set for Fall, as the the building is under construction. The business is designed by  MASS Architecture & Design of Silver Lake, serving Four Barrel coffee and sweets crafted by Viva Los Cupcakes.
